Model
Information
Using
A Model
Shooting your work on a model has a lot of value, including all
of the different angles and
views possible as well as the sense of mood that a model helps
convey.
Model Agency
I work with Taylor-Royall Casting, an absolutely terrific model
agency! They have a tremendous selection of models from which
to choose,
and are very happy to take the size and feature information
that you provide and produce the model to match. Note: Models
are
available in any size, but the greatest selection is found
in the 6-8 size
range.
Fees and
Billing
All of the Taylor-Royall models are billed directly to you. Call
David to discuss rates for your particular needs.
Film Use
Because of the nature of shooting with a model, I do not bracket
exposures or shoot duplicate original images for the studio
files. Thus, 36 exposure film yields 36 different images, less
a few
here and there for blinks and such (which happens remarkably
infrequently
with professional models!).
Make-Up and Hair
Models arrive in the studio ready to do their own make-up and
hair. Once you (or I, if you are not present) have a look at
them and decide
on how things should be, they use the (new!) studio dressing
room to get ready and into the first outfit as the lighting
and background
are set up.
Getting The Look You Want
Despite how models often look in photographs, I have found
them to be very approachable and interested in giving YOU exactly
what you
want regarding pose and attitude and such. If you're coming
into
the studio for your shoot, expect to have a great time seeing
your work 'come to life' on the model! Please feel free to write
or call
if you have any questions at all!
